Environmental Courses and Programs

RVCC's sustainability-related courses are offered through the Environmental Studies and Continuing Education programs. Our innovative offerings and new course development position RVCC at the forefront of sustainability education and green job training.

Environmental Studies

Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary major offered by the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education, in cooperation with the Department of Science and Engineering; Math and English.  This program prepares students for transfer into either Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree programs in Environmental Studies and related fields.        



  New Courses Being Developed

Continuing Education

RVCC offers green job training for today's workforce, including:

  • Solar Panel Installation (a Dept. of Energy Solar Instructor Training Network program)  
  • BPI Certification: Building Analyst I Training (Energy Auditor)
