“Building Green Houses” (video) Local Architects Chris Kellogg and Monika Parkitna share the green designs of their personal residences. In 2012, Chris Kellogg designed Half Moon House in Madison, rebuilding it to LEED standards. In 2015, Monika Parkitna designed and rebuilt her Summit home to Passive House standards. Find out about these two standards and the challenges of creating an efficient thermal envelope while incorporating solar panels,geothermal systems, and environmentally-sustainable materials.
